Liss says, “A serious photographer never misses an opportunity, especially when it presents itself in nature. On a frosty Sunday morning last March, I awoke to an amazing snowfall that occurred the night before. What I saw from my window was like a scene from a fairytale. A fluffy white blanket of fresh snow covered the ground, the houses and the trees in Minneapolis. Instead of having that second cup of coffee, I grabbed my camera bag, jumped into my car and headed out to capture the scene in photos. I had taken a number of shots around the lakes that morning when I saw what nature had done to Lakewood Cemetery. I felt like I was in a Tchaikovsky ballet with gorgeous snow dancing off the trees and monuments. I took this photo and a few more that magical morning. An opportunity not missed is a photo that lasts forever.”
