The grand opening of Rabbit Creek’s new showroom on June 27 at International Market Square featured a talk by top designer Thomas O’Brien. O’Brien spoke about the design process and the inspiration for his house and new book, The Library House.

Creative Mornings’ February event at Minneapolis Institute of Art featured speaker Joe Horton, Mia’s artist-in-residence for 2019 as well as local musician and artist.

Even if there’s still the odd trace of snow on the ground, there’s no more magical way to celebrate the arrival of spring in the Twin Cities than taking part in the annual MayDay Parade led by In the Heart of the Beast Theatre.

DIY Halloween

Last Halloween found me on the floor of my room wrestling with duct tape, scissors, yellow felt, and two laundry baskets. Why? I had decided to craft my own costume and was attempting to pull these disparate objects into a homemade cheese grater costume.

All Minnesotans are familiar with the state’s two seasons—winter and road construction—and St. Louis Park residents should start preparing to deal with both. Construction work on Highway 169 will begin in November 2016 and is set to be completed in the fall of 2017.
