The young people of our St. Louis Park community are a precious resource and they deserve to be celebrated. On Wednesday, April 24, you are invited to the Champions Breakfast, sponsored by Children First, to learn more about the ways in which Children First has created a network of support for kids, through partnerships and volunteer efforts, as it champions the Search Institute’s 40 Developmental Assets among the young people in our community. Featured speakers at this year’s breakfast include Luke Johnson, a member of the class of 2005 at St. Louis Park High School, who was a former youth co-chair for Children First. Brad Bakken, CEO of Citizens Independent Bank and Johnson’s co-chair, will also speak. The Champions Breakfast will be held at the Doubletree Park Place Hotel. Registration starts at 7 a.m. and the program runs from 7:15-8:15 a.m. A light breakfast will be served. The event is free, but is a fundraiser for Children First, so donations are welcome. Reservations are required – contact Karen Atkinson at email@example.com to register or for more information.
